Ingredients

½ pound of Cod fillet

1 ½ cup of Wheat flour

½ cup of Water

3 Peeled garlic

½ cup of Finely chopped cilantro

2 Cilantro leaves

500 milliliters of Vegetable oil

1 pinch of Salt

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : Cut the cod fillet into pieces and check for any bones.

Step 2 : Soak in water for half an hour or overnight for better results, changing the water two or three times to remove excess salt. Then, drain and dry thoroughly with paper towels.

Step 3 : Shred the cod.

Step 4 : In a bowl, combine the wheat flour with water, mixing well to avoid lumps.

Step 5 : In a mortar, crush the garlic with a little salt and pepper, then add to the flour mixture.

Step 6 : Add the shredded cod and mix everything well.

Step 7 : Heat the oil for frying the codfish at high heat, but not to the maximum (in a deep fryer at 375°F or in a pot with a thermometer at the same temperature if desired).

Step 8 : Carefully add spoonfuls of the mixture into the hot oil, frying two at a time to turn them easily and ensuring they are golden on both sides.
