Ingredients

¼ kilogram of Ground beef

3 Skinless Viennese sausages, sliced

1 Medium white onion, diced small

2 Medium grated carrots

2 Potatoes in cubes

2 cups of Lentils soaked 1 day before

½ Ground red pepper on the inside

1 pinch of Salt

1 Beef seasoning packet

1 Sibarita seasoning packet

Water

2 tablespoons of Oil

1 pinch of Pepper

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare this delicious dish, start by chopping the onion into small cubes and grating the carrots.

Step 2 : Then, repeat this step with the red pepper, making sure to discard the skin.

Step 3 : Next, peel and cube the potatoes, and submerge them in a bowl of water while you continue preparing.

Step 4 : In a pot over medium heat, warm two tablespoons of oil and add the onion to sauté until golden.

Step 5 : Once the onion is golden, add the ground beef in small cubes and cook until lightly browned.

Step 6 : Add the carrots and ground red pepper, season with salt, pepper, and garlic to taste, then continue cooking.

Step 7 : Add the pre-soaked and drained lentils to the pot.

Step 8 : Pour enough hot water to cover all ingredients, then add the beef seasoning and powder ají, mixing well.

Step 9 : Taste and adjust seasoning if necessary.

Step 10 : Let it cook on high heat with the lid on until the lentils are halfway cooked.

Step 11 : At this point, add the drained potato cubes and ensure there is enough broth to cook the potatoes properly.

Step 12 : Once the potatoes are cooked, slice the sausages and add them to the lentil stew.

Step 13 : Let it boil for 5 minutes so the sausages release their flavor.

Step 14 : The lentil stew is ready.

Step 15 : Serve this delicious dish accompanied by white or yellow rice, and enjoy a homemade lentil ají.
