Tostones, also known as patacones, are a delicious Caribbean snack. They are prepared by frying slices of green plantain, flattening them, and frying them again until crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect to accompany any dish. An explosion of flavor in every bite.

Ingredients
3 Green plantains
Oil for frying
1 pinch of Salt
Preparation
Step 1 : The plantain should be cut at each end and the peel removed with a knife.
Step 2 : Next, the plantain should be sliced from tip to tip into portions about 2 or 3 centimeters wide, until it is completely sliced into small round pieces, using a wooden cutting board.
Step 3 : In a skillet over medium heat, add enough oil for frying.
Step 4 : Once the oil is hot, add the chopped plantains into the oil with the help of a medium spoon.
Step 5 : Turn them from side to side for about 1 minute, until they are halfway golden.
Step 6 : After the plantains start to turn a bit brown, remove them from the skillet and place them on a pestle.
Step 7 : Finally, sprinkle salt to taste over the tostones in a shower-like fashion.
