4 Servings

Ingredients

1 ½ Skinless and boneless chicken breasts

1 tablespoon of Chopped garlic

½ teaspoon of Fine salt

½ teaspoon of Freshly ground black pepper

2 teaspoons of Oregano

1 tablespoon of Extra virgin olive oil

1 tablespoon of Freshly squeezed lime juice

Preparation

Step 1 : To prepare these delicious chicken kebabs, first have 7 to 9 skewers ready.

Step 2 : If using wooden or bamboo skewers, it’s important to soak them in water for at least 30 minutes before grilling.

Step 3 : In a bowl, combine the garlic, salt, pepper, oregano, oil, and lime juice, mixing until forming a paste.

Step 4 : Next, cut the chicken breasts into 2.5 cm (1 inch) pieces and place them in a glass container with a lid.

Step 5 : Pour the marinade over the chicken and stir to ensure it’s well coated.

Step 6 : Cover the container and refrigerate for a minimum of 2 hours, preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

Step 7 : Then, prepare the grill for direct medium heat cooking (325 to 375F [170 to 190C]), which may take between 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the grill type.

Step 8 : Once the chicken has marinated sufficiently, thread the pieces onto the skewers, trying to spread each piece as flat as possible and leave a small space between them.

Step 9 : When the grill is ready, clean the grates with a brush if needed to prevent sticking.

Step 10 : Place the skewers on the grill over direct medium heat, keeping the lid closed as much as possible.

Step 11 : Cook for 8 to 10 minutes total, turning once or twice during cooking, until the chicken feels firm to the touch and no longer appears pink in the center.

Step 12 : Be careful not to overcook the chicken to keep it juicy.

Step 13 : Finally, remove the skewers from the grill and serve immediately.

Step 14 : Enjoy this delicious grilled chicken dish with loved ones.
