6 cups of Flour
1 teaspoon of Salt
Powdered sugar
Preparation
Step 1 : In the bowl of a stand mixer, combine the eggs, sugar, and melted butter, beating until well integrated.
Step 2 : In another large bowl, pour in the milk and water, sprinkle the yeast, and let it rest for one minute.
Step 3 : Add the yeast mixture to the egg mixture and beat until well combined.
Step 4 : In a large bowl, whisk together the salt and flour.
Step 5 : Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture, one cup at a time, using a dough hook, and mix until you have a homogeneous dough.
Step 6 : Place the dough on a floured work surface and knead until smooth.
Step 7 : Transfer the dough to a bowl, cover with a kitchen towel, and let it rest on the counter for 2 hours or until it doubles in size.
Step 8 : You can also refrigerate the dough and let it rest overnight.
Step 9 : Line two light aluminum baking pans with parchment paper (avoid dark pans to prevent the buns from browning at the bottom).
Step 10 : Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
Step 11 : Generously dust a clean work surface with flour, turn the dough onto this surface, and dust again.
Step 12 : Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces, roll into ½-inch ropes, and form rolled buns, tucking the ends underneath.
Step 13 : Place 6 rolls on each pan, lightly cover with a kitchen towel or plastic wrap, and let rest for another 45 minutes.
Step 14 : Using a pastry brush, gently brush the rolls with melted butter.
Step 15 : Bake for 20-25 minutes, until they start to turn golden.
Step 16 : Allow the buns to cool and then generously sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Step 17 : Enjoy with a cup of coffee!
